March 12, 2009: Lesson 7 Illustrator

What i Learned:

In lesson seven of illustrator, i learned how to change text attributes, import text, use and save styles, sample type, wrap type around a graphic, reshape text with warp and create text outlines. I also learned how to create text on paths. This lesson put all the lessons together, and i feel i have a better overall understanding on how to use illustrator. I feel confident in using both photoshop and illustrator to edit photos and graphics.

What I learned:

In lesson five, i learned how to draw straight lines, draw curved lines, use template layers, end path segments and split lines. I also learned how to select and adjust curve segments.

March 10,2009:Lesson 4 Illustrator

What i learned:

In chapter four, i learned how to work with different images, and putting them together to form one, united image. I learned how to manipulate individual objects in a group and how to resize and image. I also learned how to make transformation using the transform panel and how to work with the square diagram. I also learned easy ways to to change perspective using the transform tool.

What i learned:

In chapter three i learned how to create basic shapes, use live trace, work with line segments, draw with the pencil tool, work with smart guides and position objects precisely.

In this lesson i learned a lot about how to group and ungroup items, save selections for future use, lock and hide items for organizational purposes, and clone items with the selection tool.

What i learned:

In this lesson i learned how to use the welcome screen, select tools in the tool panel, use illustrator help, and work with panels.

In this chapter i learned how to add layer styles to create editable effects, apply filters to selections to create various effects, and save selections and load them as masks.

What I learned:

In lesson ten, i learned how to clip a layer, create and edit and adjustment layer, manage layers, merge and stamp layers, and to flatten a layered image. This chapter really gave a lot of practice to working with layers which made me know feel more comfortable working with layers.
