Email-quiz:

1. Should: Your should always have something in your subject line so the recipient knows what the email is about and knows whether or not to read it.

5. Shouldn’t: You shouldn’t reply to all when your email address is in the “BCC” field of an email you receive because your email address would be hidden.

7. Shouldn’t:You shouldn’t send an email to everyone in your address book, because that email will give away the email addresses to all the recipients.

8. Shouldn’t: You shouldn’t send an email and expect supernatural things to occur because you sent it to many people. In reality you are just spreading a false chain email and nothing will happen to you no matter what you do with the email.

9. Shouldn’t: You shouldn’t send 30 pictures of cute puppies to everyone at your workplace or in your address book because you are publishing photos that can probably be found on the internet without the annoying email.

10. Should: You should protect people’s privacy by using the BCC field because that way you are respecting their privacy and not giving out there email address to people who shouldn’t have it.

STC wireless vase-

This article is about new way to add technology to the simplest things in the home. The flower vase is transformed into a technologically modern and unique addition to a regular flower vase. This wireless router vase is a “successful gap between lifestyle and technology.”

This invention is a handy invention and is one step closer to modernizing all home decorations and is a step on the way to a futuristic world. This People might be skeptical about filling a router with water, however the router should do nothing but blink silently where it is located. This  can’t really impact my life or for that many the life’s or others major, however it is a nice tool

Novermber 19,2008- Daily Assignment day 3

Kami Kami bite counter:

The article is about new eating gadget from Japan that help kids eat all their meals and sings to them once they reach 1,000 bites. The goal is for the children to eat all their daily meals, however this could also lead to obesity because it encourages kids to eat a lot of their food. The gadget goes around the child’s ear and under the chin and counts the amounts of bites they take everyday. This strange gadget looks quite uncomfortable and i can’t imagine anyone wanting their child to wear such a ridicules thing on their face.

The Gadget, will hopefully not have success because the concept of it is kind of twisted and it almost abusive to have a child eat with that uncomfortable gadget on their face. Also it encourages obesity which should be revered for health reasons, however it is good on the part to keep kids eating however i don’t think this machine is going add anything good on to our society. This could change my life because if this gadget comes to America and children begin using this, we could have a whole generation of unhealthy, obese children who spend more time trying to the gadget to sing at them for eating well than engaging in other activities which will encourage the eating of unhealthy food. This gadget all together is very bad idea!

November 18, 2008- New Technology Day 2

Hermes Smart fortwo:

Hermes has bestowed a “colorific wisdom” smart car for two. The mini-mobile has a sleek design and great drive. however the price of the care is a high price. 38,000 dollars and 48,000 Euros. No change has been made to the car’s powertrain or suspension. The car comes with nine different color options including Hermes classic orange. pink lime green and gold. Hermes has added to their collection of the highest preforming super cars and the the lowest emmiting microcars with this fashionable Smart Fortwo.

I think this technology will lead to a whole new style of cars on the road. Currently, many people are driving large cars and hopefully the success of these smart cars will encourage people to buy smaller cars and help to preserve our environment better. The  design of the car is very different from most of the cars on the road today, but the futuristic design will bring a whole new generation of cars to the road. It will change my life because it could affect the car i drive, the car i drive in and the other cars on the road which int turn affect the economy, environment and society.

Daily Assignment:

Feijoa Fruits are ripe-

The article talks about a person living in Los Angeles in an farming and agriculture area, where a surplus of fruits are grown from the trees. He talks about one specific, uncommon fruit growing called the Feijoa which is also called a pineapple guava. The fruit is tart and firm but it has a sweet custard center. This year’s harvest came later then usual and according to him it’s not as bountiful this year.

I suppose the discovery of the fruit will begin to become more popular. As of the fruit affecting or changing my life i think it will only go as far as to please my hunger and eating pleasures, but i think that the fruit which looks quite delicious will become more available and become more accessible.

November 5, 2008- What has changed?

November 5, 2008

Questions:

1. What has changed and what will change because Barack Obama is going to be president of the united states?

2. What will you do differently now and for the next four years?

Answers:

1. Every new president of the United States, brings with him change and a new set of ideals for our country to follow. For the past eight years, our country has been under the rule of George Bush and the Republican party, now that Barack Obama, the democratic candidate is in office the United States will have new laws and different enforcements to keep the country running as smoothly as possible Since John McCain didn’t win the presidency, the war in Iraq will hopefully come to an end soon. Barack Obama has his own ideas to change America for now and for the future. He emphasizes change in all his speeches, therefore without a doubt some major changes will occur in the next four years, hopefully for the better. Barack Obama understands the struggles that most middle-class, single parented people face and will work hard  to help them. Barack Obama’s victory will go down in history and Barack Obama will be the first African American President and his family will be the first African American family to live in the White house.

2. How does his victory impact my life? My life won’t change significantly in the next four years, but something that Barack Obama will do in the next four years will somehow influence and event or maybe my way of living. However, America changing around me will impact my life and the lives or my peers. I have great faith in Obama that the things he enforces will make my life and the lives of others better. i can’t say how i will be living my life in the the next four years, but with Obama my life could be great!
